Amateur Radio Astronomers of Calvin University (ARAC)

Amateur Radio Astronomers of Calvin (ARAC) is a student-led club dedicated to exploring the intersection of radio technology and astronomy. Through hands-on projects, observational experiments, and discussions, members learn how to detect and analyze cosmic radio signals from celestial objects such as pulsars, the Sun, and the Milky Way. The club provides opportunities to engage with radio astronomy equipment, develop technical skills, and collaborate on research initiatives. Open to students of all backgrounds and experience levels, ARAC fosters curiosity about the universe while building a community of aspiring astronomers, engineers, and science enthusiasts.
