QPR: Free Suicide Prevention Training for Faculty/Staff

The Center for Counseling and Wellness provides free suicide prevention training to faculty/staff using the Question, Persuade, Refer (QPR) approach!

We can all help prevent suicide! Do your part by getting trained in QPR - a straight-forward method of noticing risk, asking direct questions, and referring to professional support. Just as people trained in CPR help save thousands of lives each year, people trained in QPR learn how to recognize the warning signs of a suicide crisis and how to question, persuade, and refer someone to help. The training is free for Calvin faculty/staff and results in certification as a QPR Gatekeeper. Facilitated by CCW Assistant Director Shayne McNichols.
