Calvin's Computer Science Majors Among Best in Nation

Summary: Calvin College computer science majors who graduated in 2009 ranked in the 95th percentile on a national computer science test.

Calvin's 2009 class of computer science majors left college well prepared. The graduates ranked in the top five-percent nationally on the Educational Testing System (ETS) major field test, which measures the factual knowledge and ability to analyze and solve problems. The ETS computer science test covers three areas: programming, discrete structures and algorithms, and systems.

Calvin's average student score placed in the 95th percentile or higher in all three areas, putting the college's majors among the top computer science students in the country.
