VOLLEYBALL
The Calvin women's volleyball team captured its third consecutive regional title including its fourth in the last five years on Saturday, defeating host Carthage in four sets. The Knights improve to 30-3, hitting the 30-win plateau for the 14th time in school history.
Calvin will now travel to Newport News, Virginia. The Knights will compete in the national quarterfinals next Friday against host Christopher Newport in a match scheduled to start at 8 p.m. (EST).

MEN'S AND WOMEN'S CROSS COUNTRY
The Calvin men's and women's cross country teams have both advanced to the NCAA III Championships scheduled to take place next Saturday in Kings Island, Ohio.
The Calvin women's team gained an automatic berth by capturing the Great Lakes Regional title yesterday with 61 points. Meanwhile, the Calvin men's cross country team had to wait until Sunday afternoon to find out if it had received an at-large berth. The Knights did indeed receive an at-large spot and will also run Saturday. Calvin finished fourth at Saturday's regional meet with a team score of 157 points.
The Calvin women's team will be making its 25th trip to the NCAA III Championships which ranks third on the all-time NCAA III list for team appearances.
The Calvin men's team will be making its 30th trip to the NCAA III Championships which ranks third on the all-time NCAA III men's cross country list.

MEN'S SOCCER
The Calvin men's soccer season came to a heartbreaking end Saturday night in the second round of the NCAA III Tournament. Calvin dropped a penalty kick shootout to Ohio Wesleyan 4-2 after the game had concluded in a 1-1 double-overtime tie. Calvin ends its season at 18-2-3.

MEN'S BASKETBALL
The Calvin men's basketball team claimed a high-scoring affair in its season opener against Anderson University Saturday afternoon, winning by a 108-98 score. Calvin was led in the win by senior Jordan Brink who had 27 points, 10 rebounds, seven assists and five steals. Senior Tyler Dykstra had a career-high 23 points while freshman Connor VanderBrug had a double-double with 13 points and 13 rebounds.

WOMEN'S BASKETBALL
The Calvin women's basketball team opened its season up on Saturday against Lakeland College and defeated the visiting Muskies 61-48. Seniors Breanna Verkaik and Hannah Acre led Calvin with 19 and 16 points respectively.

ACHA ICE HOCKEY
Calvin's ACHA hockey team picked up a pair of victories over the Adrian College Black team this weekend, winning 10-2 Friday night in Grand Rapids and 9-2 Saturday in Adrian. The Knights are off to one of their best starts in several years and carry an overall record of 11-2-1. Calvin will host Indiana Tech for a pair of games this coming weekend at the Eagles Ice Center.
