Members of Calvin Men's Basketball Team Named to NABC Honors Court

Kansas City, Mo. -- Three members of the Calvin men's basketball team have been named to the National Association of Basketball Coaches Honors Court. Named to the NABC Honors Court from Calvin are Jordan Mast, Jordan Brink and Daniel Stout.

In order to be named to the Honors Court, a student-athlete must meet a high standard of academic criteria. The qualifications are as follows:
1. Academically a junior or senior and a varsity player.
2. Cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.2 or higher at the conclusion of the 2013-14 academic year.
3. Students must have matriculated at least one year at their current institution.
4. Member of an NCAA Division I, II, III, or NAIA Division I or II institution with a NABC member coach.

Mast (Zeeland/Holland Christian HS) was recently graduated from Calvin with a degree in engineering. Brink (Dyer, IN/Illiana Christian HS) and Stout (Escondido, CA/Escondido Calvin Christian HS) are both entering their senior year of play. Brink is majoring in sports management in the Calvin Kinesology Department. Stout holds a double-major of Spanish and kinesiology.

The NABC Honors Court recognizes the talents and gifts that these men possess off the court and the hard work they exhibit in the classroom.
A record number 895 student-athletes from 335 colleges and universities earned NABC Honors Court distinction.
