Calvin Unveils New Athletics Website;
Calvin A Close Second in MIAA Commissioner's Cup Standings Through Winter Sports Season;
Men's Swim Team Opens Competition at NCAA III Championships;
Softball Doubleheader With Wheaton Cancelled

The website replaces Calvin's old site: http://www.calvin.edu/sports
The new site is a Presto Sports based website and features a reponsive design that interacts with mobile technology.
New content as well as historical content from the old site will continued to be added to Calvinknights.com in the coming weeks and months.
MIAA COMMISSIONER'S CUP STANDINGS UPDATE
Through the recently completed winter sports season, Calvin is a close second behind rival Hope in the overall MIAA Commissioner's Cup Standings. Hope leads the overall standings with 154 points with Calvin just a point behind with 153.
Calvin leads the women's overall standings with 87 points with Hope second with 79. Hope leads the men's overall standings with 75 points with Calvin second with 66 points.
The MIAA Commissioner's Cup award is based on the cumulative performance of each member school in the league's 20 sports for men and women.
The final Commissioner's Cup standings is determined on the basis of each college's standings in eight of ten sports for men and eight of ten sports for women. All eight fall sports and four winter sports are tabulated in this tabulation.
Calvin won the 2012-13 Commissioner's Cup.
The Commissioner's Cup (All-Sports Award) has been presented since 1934-35. Hope has won the award 34 times, followed by Kalamazoo 15, Albion 14, Calvin 9 & Alma 5.

MEN'S SWIMMING
INDIANAPOLIS, IN - The Calvin men's swim team opened competition at the NCAA III Championships Wednesday morning.
Calvin competed in three events but did not advance a relay or an individual to the Wednesday evening finals.
In the morning prelims, sophomore Aaron Venema (Grand Haven/Grand Haven HS) took 33rd in the 500 freestyle (4:39.00) while sophomore Johnson Cochran (Mount Vernon, OH/Mount Vernon HS) was 58th in the 200 IM (1:55.57).
Calvin's 200 medley relay of senior Andrew Mitchell (Iron Mountain/Kingsford HS), Cochran, freshman Brett Stoughton (Centerville, IN/Centerville HS) and sophomore Mitch Schroder (Grand Rapids/Grand Rapids Christian HS) took 18th in a time of 1:33.60.
Coming up on Thursday, Calvin will compete in the 200 freestyle relay and 400 medley relay. Stoughton will compete in the 100 butterfly while Mitchell will compete in the 200 freestyle.
SOFTBALL
The Calvin softball team was scheduled to host Wheaton on Thursday in a doubleheader at 3 p.m. but the twinbill has been cancelled because of weather.
