Rachel Boerner Named Great Lakes Regional Indoor Track Athlete of Year by

WOMEN'S TRACK AND FIELD
Calvin College senior Rachel Boerner has been named the Division III Women’s
Great Lakes Regional Indoor Track Athlete of the Year by the United States
Track and Field Cross Country Coaches Association.
The senior from Bergenfield, N.J., recorded the second-fastest time this
season in NCAA Division III over 400 meters, a season-best of 56.38 seconds. At
the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Indoor Invitational, Boerner
had a hand in 22½ team points. She won the 60 meters and the 200 meters and ran
a leg on the Knights’ winning 4×400-meter relay to help lead Calvin to the
women’s team title.
A graduate of Hillcrest Lutheran Academy, Boerner is set to compete in the 400
meters this weekend at the NCAA III Indoor Track and Field Championships at
Capital University in Columbus, Ohio.
