Women's Soccer to Host Four-Team NCAA III Regional;
Men's Soccer Headed to Wheaton for Four-Team NCAA III Regional;
Volleyball to Face Wittenberg in First Round At Great Lakes Regional Hosted by
Hope

VOLLEYBALL

The Calvin women’s volleyball team will face Wittenberg University in a first
round Great Lakes Regional match at Hope College. The starting time will be
announced later this evening. Calvin (27-6) is making its 19th NCAA III
Tournament appearance.

Wittenberg (24-7) and Calvin played earlier this year at the Wittenberg Border
Battle with Wittenberg defeating Calvin in five sets. It will mark the third
meeting between Calvin and Wittenberg in the NCAA III Tournament in the last
five years.

Other first round matches will pit Bluffton (27-5) up against Ohio Northern
(27-3), Heidelberg (27-7) up against North Central, IL (34-4) and Hope (30-3)
up against Lakeland, WI (23-13). The winner of the Calvin/Wittenberg match will
play the winner of the Hope/Lakeland first round match.

MEN'S AND WOMEN'S SOCCER

The Calvin women’s soccer team has been selected to host a four-team NCAA
regional this Friday and Saturday that will include Washington and Jefferson
(PA), Ohio Northern and Wittenberg. Calvin (13-4-1) will face Washington &
Jefferson (12-6-2) in a first round game with Ohio Northern (15-4-1) facing
Wittenberg (11-4-5) in the other first round game. Game times will be announced
later.

Meanwhile, the Calvin men’s soccer team will travel to Wheaton College (IL) for
a four-team Friday/Saturday regional. Calvin (15-4-1) will face host Wheaton
(14-3-3) in a Friday first round game with the University of Chicago (12-3-3)
facing Wartburg (15-4-1) in the other first round game on Friday.

Washington and Jefferson advanced to the NCAA III Tournament by winning the
President’s Athletic Conference title and gaining an automatic bid to the NCAA
III Tournament. Washington and Jefferson is making its second straight trip to
the NCAA III Tournament. Like Calvin, Ohio Northern received an at-large (Pool
C) bid to the NCAA III Tournament. The Polar Bears were runner-ups in the Ohio
Athletic Conference this fall. Wittenberg advanced to the NCAA III Tournament
by winning the North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) Tournament title this
past weekend, gaining an automatic bid in the process.
