WOMEN'S SOCCER RECEIVES AT-LARGE BID TO NCAA III TOURNAMENT

The Calvin women’s soccer season is not over. On Sunday evening, the Knights
were informed that they had received one of 21 at-large (Pool C) bids to the

The Knights will be making their fifth consecutive trip to the NCAA III
Tournament. Calvin’s destination and opponent will be unveiled on Monday
morning as will be the case for the men’s soccer and volleyball teams which
have earned automatic bids to the NCAA III Tournament.

The Albion women’s soccer team gained the MIAA’s automatic bid to the NCAA III
Tournament by winning the MIAA Tournament this past Saturday. With Calvin and
Albion both receiving bids, it marks the first time since 2005 that the MIAA
has sent two teams to the NCAA III women’s soccer tournament when Calvin and
Hope were both in the field.

The NCAA III Tournament brackets for men’s/women’s soccer are set to be
announced Monday morning at 10:00 a.m. at http://www.ncaa.com. The Calvin men’s
soccer team has secured an automatic bid to the NCAA III Tournament by winning
the MIAA title. The Calvin women’s volleyball team also has earned an automatic
bid by winning the MIAA Tournament title.

It marks the third straight year and the fourth time in the last five that
Calvin has sent its men's and women's soccer and women's volleyball teams on to
the NCAA III Tournament.

The NCAA III Women’s Volleyball Tournament bracket will be announced via a live
video streaming show on the NCAA website at 11:00 a.m. The link to the video
