Molly Krikke Named MIAA Player of the Week in Volleyball;
RealAudio Broadcast Set for the Week
VOLLEYBALL
For the fourth time in her Calvin career, senior middle-hitter Molly Krikke has been named MIAA Player of the Week in volleyball.
Krikke is receiving MIAA Player of the Week honors for the fourth time in her collegiate career. A senior middle-hitter from Greenwich, Ohio, and a Molly Krikkegraduate of South Central High School, Krikke hit .260 last week in conference victories over Kalamazoo, Tri-State and Olivet. Over the course of the week, Krikke was credited with 66 kills, 16 digs, 11 blocks and four service aces.
Krikke is currently ranked 18th nationally in kills-per-game (4.88). She has a season hitting percentage of .327. Calvin is currently 16-3 overall and 11-0 in the MIAA. Calvin is ranked 15th in the latest Division III Top-25 poll. The Knights are back in action on Tuesday evening when they travel to second place Adrian for a 6:30 p.m. match.
REAL AUDIO BROADCAST SCHEDULE SET
A busy slate of soccer games and a cross country pre-regional event are set for RealAudio broadcast this week through the Calvin web site.
The schedule begins on Tuesday with a broadcast of the men's soccer game against Tri-State at 4:00 p.m. On Wednesday, the women's soccer game at Alma will be aired at 4:00 p.m.
On Saturday, the pre-regional cross country invitatational hosted by Calvin will be aired beginning at 11:00 a.m. The women's soccer game against Saint Mary's will then be picked up in progress at approximately 12:30 p.m. The men's soccer game with Kalamazoo will then follow upon completion of the women's game with Saint Mary's.
