WINKLE NAMED KODAK ALL-AMERICAN BY WOMEN'S BASKETBALL COACHES ASSOCIATION

Calvin College senior Lisa Winkle has been named Division III Kodak
All-American by the Women's Basketball Coaches Association. Winkle is one of 10
individuals to be so honored. She is also the first Kodak All-American in
Calvin women's basketball history.

Winkle is joined on the Kodak All-America team by Liz Bondi (DePauw), Deborah
Bruen (Mary Washington), Kelsey Duoss (UW-Stout), Eileen Flahert (Bowdoin),
Nikki Lobach (Messiah), Ashley Marble (Southern Maine), Jessica McEntee (NYU),
Taryn Mellody (Scranton) and Jess Vadnais (Gustavus Adolphus).

During the 2006-07 season, Winkle averaged 14.4 points and 10.1 rebounds a game
while helping Calvin advance to the quarterfinals of the NCAA III Tournament.
Winkle concluded her career as Calvin's all-time leader in points (1,721) and
rebounds (1,034).

The Kodak All-American award caps a flurry of awards in recent days for the
accomplished student-athlete. In fact it comes hot on the heels of her recent
awards as the d3hoops.com Great Lakes Regional Player of the Year by
D3hoops.com. and as the 2007 winner of the prestigious Jostens Trophy.Lisa
Winkle

A four-time first team All-MIAA selection, Winkle was named the MIAA's MVP for
the second straight year in 2007. She also became the only four-time first team
all-conference selection in MIAA women's basketball history.

In the classroom, Winkle carries a 3.966 grade point average while majoring in
mathematics and secondary education. She has been a three-time ESPN The
Magazine Academic All-District selection and was named to the ESPN The Magazine
Academic All-America second team last year and to the ESPN The Magazine
Academic All-America first this year. She has already accepted a position as a
math teacher at South Christian High School for next fall.
