MIAA WOMEN'S BASKETBALL TICKET INFORMATION
General Admission tickets for the Tuesday, February 21st Women's 1st Round
MIAA
Tournament basketball game between Calvin and Adrian will be on sale at the
Box Office on Monday and Tuesday,February 20 and 21 from 9:00am until 5:00pm.
Tickets will also be sold at the Fieldhouse starting at 6:30pm on Tuesday.
Ticket Prices: Per MIAA regulations, General Admission ticket pricing:
* $2.00 for MIAA faculty/staff,
* FREE for MIAA students with ID.
* $2.00 for non-MIAA college students, high school students, and children,
* $5.00 for all others.
Tickets must be paid by either cash or check. There is no limit on the
number
of tickets to be purchased.

General Admission tickets for the Wednesday, February 22nd Men's 1st Round
MIAA Tournament basketball game between Calvin and Olivet will be available at
the Box Office on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, February 20, 21 & 22 from
9:00am to 5:00pm. Tickets will also be sold at the Fieldhouse starting at
6:30pm on Wednesday. Go Knights!

CALVIN HOCKEY TEAM CAPTURES MCHC TOURNAMENT TITLE - ACHA TOURNEY NEXT
MIDLAND - For the first time since the 1993-94 season, the Calvin club ice
hockey team has captured the Midwest Collegiate Hockey Conference Tournament
title. Calvin captured the tournament crown this past weekend by defeating
Lansing Community College 7-2 on Friday and Northwood 4-2 on Saturday in the
tournament final. Scoring goals for Calvin in the victory over Northwood were
senior Nick VerKuyl (Whitby, ON), junior Clay VerKaik (Grand Rapids Christian
HS), junior John VanderHoek (St. Thomas, ON) and freshman Erik Baker
(Strathroy, ON). Sophomore goaltender John Singleton (Highlands Ranch, CO) came
up with 26 saves in posting the victory.
This win follows a perfect 12-0 league season.
MCHC Individual awards were won by:
Coach Petrusma - Coach of the Year
Sr, Max Sieplinga (GR Christian HS) - League MVP & First Team All Conference
Forward
Sr, Nick Verkuyl - First Team All Conference Forward
So, John Singleton - First Team All Conference Goalie
Sr, Dan DeKorne (GR Christian HS) - Second Team All Conference Forward
Sr, David Veeneman (GR Christian HS) - Second Team All Conference Defense
The next game for the Knights is the first round of the ACHA Div III National
Tournament in Fort Myers, Florida vs Northern Colorado. Game time is 1pm on
Wednesday, March 1. Calvin (22-4-1) is the #5 seed in the tournament.
