Schultz also contributed 12 digs, while freshman libero Lauren DeGroot

Sophomore setter Katie Zondervan had 10 digs and 44 assists.

For Kalamazoo, senior Stefanie Salasky led with 7 kills, senior Erica Sovey

Calvin carried momentum and energy through the entire match, which is key for
the team, said Head Coach Amber Warners. "We need to come into the game with
a lot of enthusiasm and feeling relaxed."

Coach Warners also praised the three freshman on the roster, DeGroot, Jessica
Garlick (Portage/Kalamazoo Christian), and Stacie Lippert (St. Louis, MI/St.
Louis). "The three freshmen contribute greatly on the floor, but they also
bring three unique personalities to the team. I hope that they will step up
and play like seniors; they are definitely capable of doing so."

Calvin will return to action on Saturday night at Albion. Game time is 6:30
p.m. The match will be broadcast courtesy of the Albion Sports Information
Department. Check the Albion web site at: http://www.albion.edu/sports for
