MEN'S BASKETBALL
Calvin College senior Dan Aultman has been named an honorable mention
All-American in men's basketball by the publication Division III News. A
native of Ludington and a graduate of Mason County Central High School, Aultman
averaged 15.9 points and 5.8 rebounds a game while connecting on 53.7 percent
of his field goal attempts.
Aultman finished his career with 1,005 points, becoming just the second
two-year player in Calvin men's basketball history to reach the 1,000 point
plateau. He was also named to the All-MIAA first team and to the NABC Division
III Great Lakes All-District first team.
Aultman helped Calvin finish 27-7 overall as the Knights reached the NCAA III
Final Four for the fourth time in school history and for the first time since
the 1999-00 season.
MEN'S TENNIS
Calvin opened a busy week of action with a 9-0 win over visiting Grand Rapids
Community College Monday afternoon. The Knights are scheduled to host Spring
Arbor Tuesday, travel to Alma Wednesday and then host Tri-State on Saturday.
