    CALVIN SPORTS REPORT FOR MONDAY, OCTOBER 20, 2003

    WOMEN'S SOCCER

    For the second time in her collegiate career, Calvin senior Dana Haan has been
    named MIAA Offensive Player of the week.

    A midfielder from Lynden, Washington, Haan prepped at Lynden Christian High
    School. Haan played a pivotal role in victories over Tri-State and Alma last
    week as the Knights stretched their win streak to seven games. Over the course
    of the week, Haan collected three shots at goal and was a consistent scoring
    threat. She also scored her fourth goal of the year in a 3-0 win over
    conference rival Alma Saturday afternoon at Calvin Field.

    Haan has started in all 13 games this year and has four goals and two assists
    to rank third on the Calvin team in scoring with 10 points.

    Calvin is currently 8-4-1 overall and in second place in the MIAA standings
    with a 6-2-1 conference record. The Knights return to action on Tuesday when
    they travel to Kalamazoo for a 4:00 p.m. contest. On Saturday, Calvin will
    host Albion at noon.

    MEN'S SOCCER

    For the second straight week, Calvin is ranked fourth in the NSCAA Division
    III Great Lakes Regional poll. Calvin is one of three teams from the MIAA in
    this week's rankings as Kalamazoo is ranked third and Hope ninth.

    Calvin and Kalamazoo will face off Wednesday afternoon at 4:00 p.m. at Calvin
    Field. Kalamazoo (6-1-0 MIAA) is currently in first place in the MIAA
    standings, one point ahead of Hope (5-1-1) and two points ahead of Calvin
    (5-1-0).

    REAL AUDIO BROADCAST SCHEDULE SET FOR THE WEEK

    The Calvin Sports Information Department will broadcast three Calvin athletic
    events this week via RealAudio broadcast. The schedule begins on Wednesday
    with the men's soccer game between Calvin and Kalamazoo. Josh Miller and
    Ross Weener will call the game with the pre-game set for 3:50 p.m. On
    Thursday, Weener and Jeff Febus will call the women's volleyball match
    against Olivet at 6:30 p.m. from the Calvin Fieldhouse. On Saturday, Miller
    and Febus and will call the women's soccer match between Calvin and Albion
    with the pre-game set for 11:55 a.m..
