QUEST is a three and a half day program that takes place just before school begins in the fall.

Our place deeply influences who we are and how we live. As orientation staff, we invite incoming students to shape and be shaped by Calvin, contributing their gifts, talents, and unique experiences to this place. Throughout QUEST, the concept of place will tie together the topics, discussions, and sessions intended to help students transition to college.

The first day of QUEST will focus on “Engaging Place,” and students will explore what it means to do God’s work by serving and learning in the city of Grand Rapids. Students will spend the second day of QUEST “Understanding Place” as they come to understand Calvin College’s faith, history, and vision, especially as it relates to Calvin being a reformed Liberal Arts college. The third and last day of QUEST focuses on ‘’Renewing Place.’’ At Calvin, we believe that God is renewing every aspect of this world. Students will be learning about the brokenness within ourselves, our college, and our world, and how God is renewing all.
