Journey with the world's most traveled filmmaker, Marlin Darrah, as he explores Egypt. Part travel-adventure, part spiritual journey, part historical detective story, this exciting travel program recounts a modern-day expedition into an ancient and often baffling land.

Together with fellow-host and New York Times best-selling author Paul Perry, Darrah takes us on a sojourn throughout Egypt, to more than a dozen fantastic and never-before-seen historical sites where the Coptic Christians of Egypt insist that the Holy Family visited and stayed during the mysterious missing years of the boy Jesus. Also included are scenes from the old medina and market streets of Cairo; a sailboat journey down the great Nile and meetings with local Egyptians in their homes and markets and at festivals and places of worship. We will also see the Egypt of the Pharaohs: the great pyramids, the ancient city of Memphis, the step-pyramid of Saqqara, and the magnificent ancient temples of Luxor and Karnak.
