Calvin Around Town group first to tour new Kroc Center

Summary: On Thursday, September 30, 2010, Calvin alumni and friends will be the
first public group to view the new 70,000 square-foot Salvation Army Ray and
Joan Kroc Corps Community Center.

The Grand Rapids Chapter of the Calvin Alumni Association is hosting a fall
“Calvin Around Town” event at the recently completed Salvation Army Ray and
Joan Kroc Corps Community Center.

Calvin alumni and friends will be the first public group to tour the 70,000
square-foot space—an education, recreation, cultural arts and worship facility
for the Grand Rapids community.

The event begins at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, September 30, with an hors d’oeuvre
reception and is followed by a program and self-guided tour. The program will
feature Major Marc Johnson and Captain Peter Mount of the Salvation Army, as
well as Calvin physical education professor Drew Bailey.
