Richard Mouw, president of Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena, Cal., will deliver the Commencement address. From 1968 to 1985, Mouw served as professor of Christian philosophy at Calvin College.
In addition, Anne Engbers, Jacque Greenman and Marjorie Van Kooten, all class of '58, will receive the 2010 Distinguished Alumni Award from the Calvin Alumni Association. Upon graduating, the three moved to Alaska and pursued nursing careers. During their time in Alaska they helped build Trinity Christian Reformed Church and founded the Cooper Landing Senior Citizens Corp, Inc., which provides affordable senior housing.

Edward T. Begay ex'58 of Gallup, New Mexico, will also receive the Distinguished Alumni Award. Begay served the Navajo Nation for 32 years in various roles, including representing the nation at United Nations conferences in Geneva, Switzerland.
Along with the ceremony at Van Noord Arena, a number of events will take place during Commencement weekend, including the annual department of nursing pinning ceremony, the Commencement worship service, the celebration cookout, a bachelor of arts exhibition and reception, and a reception for international students and their parents, to name a few.
