Calvin gets NEA grant for Covenant Fine Arts Center programming

Summary: Calvin College will receive a $10,000 National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) grant to support programming celebrating the Covenant Fine Arts Center's reopening in the fall of 2010.

Calvin College is one of 23 organizations in Michigan to earn a 2010 National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) grant.

The college will receive $10,000 for programming in the Covenant Fine Arts Center (CFAC), which is currently closed for extensive renovations but slated to reopen in the fall of 2010. The CFAC will feature a new art gallery, a new 240-seat recital hall and a completely redone 1,100-seat performance hall.

During the 2010-2011 school year, in celebration of the Covenant Fine Arts Center opening, Calvin will offer concerts, art exhibitions, dance recitals, lectures, storytelling, educational programming by professional artists and more.
