A reminder that the Paul B Henry Institute for the Study of Christianity and
Politics at Calvin College will host the 6th Annual Paul Henry Lecture on
Monday, April 29, at 7:30 in the Gezon Auditorium.

Former Calvin College professor Stephen Monsma, now at Pepperdine University,
will deliver the 2002 lecture. Monsma was a colleague of Paul Henry's in the
political science department at Calvin College and they served together in the
Michigan legislature. Monsma also served in Michigan Governor Jim Blanchard's
    administration in the mid 1980s.

The topic of Monsma's upcoming address is "Myths, Lies, and Soundbites:
Reaction to President Bush's Faith-Based Initiative." Monsma will describe his
on-going research into the relationship between government and faith-based
    social services.

Monsma also will participate in the May 3-4 Symposium on Religion and Politics
being hosted by the Henry Institute.
