Michael Wilks Named MIAA Men's Basketball Player of the Week;
Jordan Kramer Named MIAA Men's Indoor Track and Field Athlete of the Week

MEN'S BASKETBALL

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - The Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association has named Calvin forward Michael Wilks its men's basketball Player of the Week for games played through January 16.
A junior from Hudsonville, Michigan, Wilks averaged 25.0 points, 4.0 rebounds and 1. 0 steals in leading Calvin to two wins that kept the Knights in a tie for first place in the MIAA.
He had a career-high 28 points on the win at Alma on Saturday. He also finished with a block and an assist. On Wednesday he tallied 22 points against Olivet, he also notched six rebounds and an assist against the Comets.
This is the first time in his career that he has claimed MIAA Player of the Week honors.
Wilks and the Knights return to action on Wednesday when they travel to Kalamazoo.

MEN'S INDOOR TRACK AND FIELD

Calvin College senior Jordan Kramer has been named the MIAA Men's Indoor Track and Field Athlete of the Week.

A native of Pewaukee, Wisconsin, Kramer opened his 2017 indoor season in sterling fashion, clocking a personal-best time of 8:33.0 in the 3,000 meter run at the Grand Valley State Eubanks Invitational.
A graduate of Lake Country Lutheran High School, Kramer took sixth in the race last Friday night. His time currently ranks sixth on the NCAA III Indoor Track and Field list and is the top time in the MIAA.
Kramer is receiving MIAA Indoor Track and Field Athlete of the Week honors for the first time. He is coming off of a standout cross country season this fall that saw him land NCAA III All-America honors with a 14th place individual finish at the national meet.
