"I'm pretty happy with the win tonight," said Calvin men's basketball coach Kevin Vande Streek. "Wins in the league will be tough to come by. No doubt about it. It was a little different type of game tonight from Olivet with their pressure, zone defense and trapping but I thought our guys responded well. We had a few more turnovers than we normally would like but against a team that presses on defense like Olivet, some turnovers are bound to happen. Overall I thought we did a good job against their defense. Now it's time to move on to the next game."
Calvin held a commanding 44-22 rebounding advantage. The Knights were also 25 of 33 (.758) from the free throw line.
