Calvin Basketball Teams Finish Fourth in Final NCAA III Attendance Standings
MEN'S BASKETBALL
Calvin College is once again among the NCAA III leaders in men's basketball attendance. Calvin finished fourth in this year's standings with an average of 1,433 fans per game. MIAA rival Hope repeated as the NCAA III attendance champion in men's basketball as it averaged 2,638 fans a game during the 2015-2016 season. Augustana College of Illinois was second with an average of 1,757 fans a game while the College of Wooster finished third at 1,464.
Calvin's 2015-2016 average was strengthened by a sell-out crowd of 4,800 fans on February 20 against Hope at Van Noord Arena. Overall, Calvin drew 11,466 fans over eight home dates.
Calvin holds the NCAA III single-season record with an average of 4,018 fans established during the 1992-93 season. Calvin also holds the NCAA III single game attendance record with 11,442 fans for its January 29, 1997 game against Hope at the Van Andel Arena in Grand Rapids.

WOMEN'S BASKETBALL
Calvin College has finished fourth in the final NCAA III women's basketball attendance standings with an average of 807 fans per game.
Calvin finished the 2015-16 season with 8,069 fans over 10 home dates.
Hope captured the 2015-16 attendance crown with an average of 1,313 fans per game, drawing 21, 004 spectators over 16 home contests. Maryville of Tennessee finished second with an average of 1,035 fans per game with the University of Dubuque (IA) third (896).
Together, Calvin and Hope helped the MIAA finish second in the final conference attendance standings with the league averaging 436 fans per contest, with the Iowa Intercollegiate Athletic Conference leading the way with an average of 585 fans per game.
