Davio and Remy Receive MIAA Player of the Week Honors in Women's Lacrosse;
Buesing Named MIAA Men's Tennis Player of the Week)

WOMEN'S LACROSSE

FREELAND, Mich. - The Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association has named Calvin attacker Amanda Davio and goalkeeper Corry Remy its Players of the Week in women's lacrosse for games played through April 12.
Davio, freshman from Okemos (Okemos HS), scored eight goals, including the game-winner with 10 seconds remaining, as the Knights overcame a four-game deficit to edge Albion, 15-14. She also grabbed three ground balls and caused three turnovers. Davio also had four goals in a 9-7 nonconference win over Urbana, Ohio. Davio is being honored as Player of the Week for the second time this season.
Remy, a junior from Zeeland (Zeeland East HS), made 13 saves, including a crucial stop with 35 seconds remaining to keep the score tied, and led started the clear that led to Calvin's game-winning goal in the Knights' 15-14 MIAA win over Albion. Most of her saves came on shots inside of 10 feet of the net. Remy is being honored as Player of the Week for the first time in her career.
MEN'S TENNIS

FREELAND, Mich. - The Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association has named Calvin's Matt Buesing its Player of the Week in men's tennis for meets played through April 12.
Buesing, a junior from Hoffman Estates, Ill. (Fremd HS), posted a 2-1 record at No. 1 singles for the week for the Knights. He posted a 6-2, 6-2 singles victory and also won his match at No. 2 doubles for the Knights, 9-7, as Calvin handed Adrian its first MIAA loss, 5-4.

He also won a three-set battle, 6-7, 6-1, 10-7, to account for the Knights' only point in a loss to Wabash, Ind. Buesing is being honored as Player of the Week for the first time in his career.
