Nicole Michmerhuizen to Represent Calvin Track and Field at NCAA III Indoor Nationals;
Sectional Basketball Tickets to Go On-Sale at Calvin Box Office Tuesday Morning
TRACK AND FIELD

For the second consecutive year, Nicole Michmerhuizen will represent the Calvin track and field program at the NCAA III Indoor Track and Field Championships.

A senior out of Holland Christian High School, Michmerhuizen will compete in the women's 3,000 and 5,000 meter runs. The 3,000 meter competition is a new event at this year's national championship meet.

A year ago, Michmerhuizen took second in the 5,000 meters at the national indoor meet at North Central College.

She is seeded seventh in the 3,000 meters (9:45.67) and fifth in the 5,000 meters (17:01.38).

The 5,000 meters will take place on Friday evening at 5:50 p.m. (central time) while the 3,000 meters are scheduled to take place at 4:40 p.m. (central time) on Saturday afternoon.

The meet will take place place in Lincoln, Nebraska. Nebraska Wesleyan University will serve as the host of the meet. The meet will actually take place at the University of Nebraska's Bob Devaney Sports Center.

MEN'S BASKETBALL

The Calvin men's basketball team will compete in the NCAA III sectional tournament hosted by Illinois Wesleyan this weekend in Bloomington, Illinois. Calvin is scheduled to take on host Illinois Wesleyan Friday night at 8:30 p.m. (EDT) inside Illinois Wesleyan's Shirk Center.

Tickets will be on sale beginning Tuesday morning at 9 a.m. at the Calvin Box Office inside the Calvin Covenant Fine Arts Center. Tickets will be $7.00 for adults and $4.00 for students.

Tickets must be purchased in person at the box office.
