CALVIN KNIGHT SPORTS REPORT FOR NOV. 14, 2011

Men's Soccer Headed to Southern California for NCAA III Sectional Tournament

The four-team field for the sectional tournament that the Calvin men’s soccer
team is competing in is set for next weekend. Calvin (17-5-1) will take on the
University of Redlands (Ca.) in a sectional semifinal game next Friday in
California. Redlands will serve as the sectional host. Start times for the
weekend sectional have not yet been announced.

Randolph College (Va.) will face the University of Texas-Tyler in the other
sectional semifinal game. The sectional site will be announced on
Monday.Redlands (20-3-1) advanced to the sectional semifinals with a 3-0 win
over Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Sunday night. Randolph (18-5-0) advanced to the
sectional round with a 3-2 win over DeSales on Sunday while Texas-Tyler
(17-2-2) advanced with a 2-0 win over Trinity (Tx) on Sunday. Calvin advanced
to the sectional round with a 4-0 win over Loras College Saturday night. Calvin
will be making its third straight appearance in the Round of 16 of the NCAA III
Tournament including its fourth appearance in the last seven years.
