Keith Spoelstra Named MIAA Pitcher of the Week in Baseball;
Women's Tennis Match at Alma Postponed;
Latest Edition of Calvin Knightfile Magazine Now Available Online
 
BASEBALL
 
Calvin College senior Keith Spoelstra has been named the MIAA Pitcher of the Week in baseball. Spoelstra, a native of Oakland, N.J. (Eastern Christian HS), had two complete-game performances on the mound for the Knights last week, including a three-hit shutout of Hope, 3-0.
 
Spoelstra walked one and struck out three against the Flying Dutchmen. He also had a five-hitter in a 4-2 loss to Adrian. Spoelstra, who is being honored as Player of the Week for the third time in his career, held opposing batters to a .186 batting average in the two games.
 
WOMEN'S TENNIS
 
Calvin's match at Alma on Monday was postponed because of weather conditions. The match has been rescheduled for April 25 with Calvin traveling to Alma for the match. Calvin's next scheduled match is this Wednesday when the Knights travel to Albion for a 4 p.m. contest.
