MEN'S SOCCER
For the second time in his career, Calvin College senior midfielder Scott
Hooker has been named MIAA Offensive Player of the Week in men's soccer.

Hooker, a senior from Hudsonville (Unity Christian HS), scored twice last week
in leading the Knights to a pair of wins that kept them in a first-place tie in
the MIAA with Hope heading into the season’s final week.

He scored the game’s only goal in a 1-0 victory over Olivet, then scored an
insurance goal on a penalty kick in a 2-0 win over Alma. Hooker is being
honored as Player of the Week for the first time this season and second time in
his career.
Calvin returns to action on Wednesday when it travels to Albion for a 3 p.m.
contest. The Knights will then host Trine on Saturday at 2:30 p.m.

WOMEN'S BASKETBALL

The Calvin women's basketball team has cracked another pre-season Top 25 poll.
The Knights are ranked 24th in the d3hoops.com Top 25 pre-season poll released
this weekend. The Knights have also been ranked 19th in the pre-season issue of
