MORE VOLLEYBALL NEWS
The Lightning Bolt is headed to the Hall of Fame.
Calvin’s associate director of communications and marketing Lynn Rosendale has
been inducted into the Grace Bible College Hall of Fame for her years coaching
volleyball. She coached at Grace from 1989-1993, leading the Tigers to regional
championships and national tournaments in all five seasons. In 1991, Grace
finished third at nationals, the highest in school history.
Rosendale is the all- time leader in match wins at Grace Bible with 71 and was
twice named NCCAA Div. II Mid-East coach of the year. She also led the team to
4 straight regional titles after her first year taking over. In those finals
Lynn’s teams were 12-0. In 1993 she was runner up for the NCCAA Div. II
National Coach of the Year honors.
Rosendale will be inducted tomorrow as the first women’s team coach ever in
the Grace Bible College Hall of Fame history.
With a nickname of “Lightning Bolt,” Rosendale ’85 was the middle hitter on
Calvin’s volleyball team for four years, earning first team all-MIAA honors
three times. In 1984, she was part of a Calvin volleyball team that finished
fourth in the NCAA III Tournament.
CROSS COUNTRY/TRACK & FIELD

professional sports organization. So when the Cleveland Browns offered her a
summer internship position, she jumped at the opportunity.
Sarah Orndorff, a member of the Calvin women’s track and field and cross
