Volleyball Picks Up Conference Victory at Adrian;
Soccer Teams Nationally-Ranked
VOLLEYBALL
Calvin 3, Adrian 0 (26-24, 25-5, 25-22)
ADRIAN - The nationally-ranked Calvin volleyball team picked up a 26-24, 25-5,
25-22 victory at Adrian Tuesday night to improve to 9-3 overall and 4-0 in
conference play.
Ranked 10th in the most recent AVCA Division III Top 25 poll released Tuesday
afternoon, the Knights hit .310 as a team and were paced by sophomore Rebecca
Kamp (Orland Park, IL/Chicago Christian HS) who had 16 kills, a .433 attack
percentage and three block assists.
Sophomore Renee DeHaan (Grand Rapids/Grand Rapids Christian HS) had eight
kills and three block assists. Sophomore Erin VanderPlas (Cadillac/McBain
Christian HS) had seven kills and two block assists while freshman Lizzie Kamp
(Orland Park, IL/Chicago Christian HS) had seven kills.
Senior setter Nora Bruskewitz (Milwaukee, WI/Milwaukee Lutheran HS) had 38
assists, five digs and two block assists. In the back row, senior Kelsey Sears
(Traverse City/Traverse City West HS) had 11 digs and sophomore Kelly Peterson
(Ramsey, MN/Anoka HS) 10 digs.
Calvin returns to action on Friday when it hosts Alma at 6:30 p.m. at the Van
Noord Arena.

MENS AND WOMEN’S SOCCER TEAMS REMAIN NATIONALLY-RANKED
The Calvin men’s and women’s soccer teams both continue to be
nationally-ranked.
The Calvin men’s soccer team is now ranked 15th in the latest National
Soccer Coaches Association Division III Top 25 poll and 16th in the latest
D3soccer.com Top 25 poll.
The Calvin women’s soccer team is ranked 20th by D3soccer.com.
