Ben Sietsema Named MIAA Pitcher of the Week;
Men's Tennis Moved Indoors
BASEBALL
For the second time this spring, Calvin College junior Ben Sietsema has been named the MIAA's Pitcher of the Week. Sietsema, a junior from Ada (NorthPointe Christian HS), fired a five-hit shutout in leading the Knights to a 1-0 victory over Trine. Sietsema struck out 11 and walked only one in recording his second shutout in MIAA play this season. He is 4-0 in league play with a 2.00 earned run average and 22 strikeouts in 27 innings pitched.
Overall this spring, Sietsema is 5-1 with a 3.41 earned run average.
Calvin returns to action this spring when it hosts Davenport at 4:00 p.m. in a non-conference game.
MEN'S TENNIS
The Calvin/Trine men's tennis match scheduled for Tuesday, April 21, has changed location. Originally scheduled to be played at Trine, the match will be hosted by Calvin tomorrow at 4:00 p.m. The match will be held at MVP Sports, located on the corner of East Paris and Burton Street in Kentwood.
