MEN'S SOCCER

GRAND RAPIDS—For the third time in his career, Calvin College junior Greg
Snapped has been named the MIAA’s Defensive Player of the Week. Snapper
previously was so honored in both 2006 and 2007.

Snapper shares the award this week with Albion defender Kurt Dossen.

A native of Madison, Wis. (Madison West HS), Snapper had two outstanding games
from his centerback position as the Knights strengthened their hold on first
place by defeating Alma, 3-0, and Kalamazoo, 2-1. With Snapper playing a
leadership role, Calvin has only allowed four goals in 10 league contests this
season.

The Calvin men’s soccer team is currently ranked third in the Great Lakes
Region. The Knights are 13-3-0 overall and on top of the MIAA standings with a
10-0-0 league mark.

Calvin returns to action on Tuesday when it hosts Olivet at 4:00 p.m. at
Calvin’s Zuidema Field.
