Women's Tennis Tops Tri-State;
Calvin Saturday Sports Events Postponed

WOMEN'S TENNIS
Calvin 8, Tri-State 1

KENTWOOD -- Calvin snapped a four-match losing skid and moved to 7-7 overall
with an 8-1 conference victory over visiting Tri-State Thursday afternoon at
the MVP Sportsplex. Calvin is now 3-2 in conference play and returns to action
on Monday when it hosts Aquinas College at 3:00 p.m.

CALVIN SATURDAY SPORTS EVENTS POSTPONED

Wintry weather conditions in West Michigan have forced more postponements for
Calvin spring sports events. Calvin's baseball, softball and track and field
contests scheduled for this Saturday have all been postponed.

The baseball doubleheader against Kalamazoo at Calvin has been rescheduled for
Monday, April 16 at 2:00 p.m. Calvin is also scheduled to travel to Kalamazoo
on Monday, April 9, for a 2:00 p.m. twinbill.

Calvin's Saturday softball doubleheader at Hope has been moved to Monday, April
9. The twinbill will be played at Hope and will start at 3:30 p.m.

Calvin's track and field dual meets against Alma and Adrian originally
scheduled for Saturday have been moved to Wednesday, April 11 at Calvin. The
dual meets will be combined with teams from Tri-State, Albion and Hope and will
be scored in separate dual meets. Action on April 11 is scheduled to begin at
1:30 p.m. Calvin will be facing Tri-State, Albion, Adrian and Alma in dual meet
action on April 11.
