Women’s Golf Takes Eighth At MIAA Outing
HOLLAND – A team score of 410 strokes was good for eighth place at MIAA Outing #3 Tuesday afternoon at the Macatawa Legends Golf Club. Tuesday’s outing was hosted by Hope College.
Freshman Kelli Visser (Grand Rapids Christian HS) led the Knights with a collegiate-best score of 90. Freshman Julienne Louters (Grand Rapids Christian HS) was next for the Knights with a round of 103. Other Calvin finishers included junior Linnea Trippett (White Plains, NY) with a 106, sophomore Juanita Gibson (Detroit Renaissance HS) with a 111 and sophomore Jessica Bruggink (Unity Christian HS) with a 112.
Megan Rimmel of Olivet collected medalist honors on Tuesday with a round of 84. Olivet and Tri-State tied for first place on Tuesday with team scores of 341. Olivet retained possession of first place in the overall MIAA standings however.
Calvin returns to action on Thursday when it hosts the Calvin/Hope Fall Invitational at the Thornapple Pointe Golf Club.
