The Calvin men's basketball team (22-6) will be making its 16th appearance
in the NCAA III Tournament including its third straight. The Knights are 28-16
in 15 prior trips to the NCAA III Tournament. The Knights are also making
their fifth appearance in the NCAA III Tournament under current head coach
Kevin Vande Streek and have posted an 11-3 record in national tournament games
under his direction. A year ago, Calvin reached the NCAA III Final Four for
the fourth time in school history and finished in third place.
The Calvin women's basketball team (23-4) will be making its 10th appearance
in the NCAA III Tournament including its second straight. The Knights are 10-8

the NCAA III Tournament for the first time under current head coach John Ross.
The Knights won their first three games under Ross to reach the National
Quarterfinals before being eliminated by eventual national champion Millikin
University. The finish was the best-ever by a Calvin women's basketball team
in the tournament.
The Hope men's and women's basketball teams are also in their respective
NCAA III Tournament fields. It marks the second straight year that the MIAA has
sent two men's and two women's basketball teams to the NCAA III
