CALVIN SPORTS REPORT FOR FEBRUARY 6, 2006
CALVIN BASKETBALL TEAMS NATIONALLY-RANKED
For the first time this year, the Calvin men's and women's basketball teams are
both ranked in the D3hoops.com Top-25 polls.
The Calvin men are ranked 25th in this week's men's poll while the Calvin women
are ranked 10th in this week's women's poll. The Calvin men are breaking into
the poll for the first time since the preseason poll when the Knights were
ranked 24th. Calvin then dropped out of the poll during the second week of the
regular season.
On the women's side, Calvin has been in the D3hoops.com Top-25 poll since the
third week of the regular season and has remained in eight consecutive polls.
Calvin's current ranking is its highest.
Both D3hoops.com polls have a distinctive MIAA flavor. On the men's side, Hope
is ranked fourth while Albion is ranked 10th. In the women's poll, Hope is
ranked seventh.

CALVIN GRADUATE DAN AULTMAN FEATURED ON D3HOOPS.COM
Recent Calvin graduate Dan Aultman has been featured in the latest installment
of D3hoops.com's Around the Nation piece written by columnist Mark Simon.
Included in Simon's feature is a piece on Aultman subtitled "Around the World"
detailing Aultman's current professional basketball career in Norway. Aultman
is playing for the Tromso Storm in Tromso, Norway.
The current Around the Nation piece also details the success of the men's
basketball teams from Hope and Albion.
