TIMES AND TICKET PRICES SET FOR NCAA III MEN'S SOCCER SECTIONALS
Times and tickets prices for the upcoming sectional round of the NCAA III
Men's Soccer Tournament at Calvin's Marvin A. Zuidema Field are set.
Gustavus Adolphus (14-2-4) and Loras (18-3-1) will meet in Friday's first
sectional semifinal game at 11:00 a.m. while Calvin (17-4-1) will meet Fredonia
State (17-3-3) in the second semifinal game which is slated to start 30 minutes
after the competition of the Gustavus Adolphus/Loras contest.
Ticket prices are $6.00 for general admission, $3.00 for students and senior
citizens and $2.00 for children ages 3-12. Children ages two and under will be
admitted free.
CHRISTINE HENDRICKS NAMED HONORABLE MENTION ALL-AMERICAN BY AMERICAN
VOLLEYBALL COACHES ASSOCIATION OF AMERICA
Calvin College senior Christine Hendricks has been named an honorable mention
All-American by the American Volleyball Coaches Association of America.
A native of Cincinnati, Ohio, and a graduate of Turpin High School, Hendricks
recently concluded an outstanding senior campaign on a Calvin team that
finished 30-9 on the year.
A 5-11 middle-hitter, Hendricks averaged 3.54 kills, 2.92 digs, 0.90 blocks
and 0.34 aces per game this year while also compiling an attack percentage of
.309.
Hendricks helped lead Calvin to a berth in the NCAA III Tournament last week
as the Knights defeated Hiram (OH) and Millikin (IL) before falling to
fifth-ranked Wittenberg (OH) in a semi-quarterfinal match last Saturday night.
In three NCAA III Tournament matches last week, Hendricks averaged 4.3 kills,
3.9 digs, 0.60 blocks and 0.20 aces per game while also recording a sizzling
attack percentage of .319 including a .405 average in a first round victory
over Hiram.
