MEN'S SOCCER
The starting time for Saturday's second round NCAA III Tournament game is
now set as the Knights of Calvin will host either Wartburg (IA) or Dominican
(IL) at noon.
Wartburg (17-1-2) will host Dominican (15-3-3) in a first round game Wednesday
afternoon with the winner advancing to Saturday's second round game in Grand
Rapids.
Ticket prices for Saturday's second round game have also been set with
tickets for adults listed at $6.00, college students or senior citizens $3.00,
children ages 3-12 $2.00 and children under three admitted free.
Calvin will be making its fifth appearance in the NCAA III Tournament
including its first since 1991. The Knights are 3-4 in four prior NCAA III
Tournament showings.
Calvin is also ranked sixth in the latest Division III Top-25 poll released by
the National Soccer Coaches Association of America this afternoon. The
number-six ranking is an improvement of two spots from last week's poll.
Calvin's highest ranking was fourth, achieved earlier this fall.
The latest NSCAA Division III Top-25 poll is the final regular season poll of
the year. A final season poll will be taken at the conclusion of the 2004 NCAA
III Tournament.
