Calvin Men's Soccer Team Continues To Move Up National Rankings

GRAND RAPIDS - The Calvin men's soccer team continues to move up the
national charts. In the latest set of NCAA Division III Top-25 Rankings
compiled by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America, the Knights are
ranked eighth.

The national ranking is the highest in Calvin men's soccer history.
Calvin's previous best national ranking was 16th established last fall in
the second-to-last regular season national poll.

In addition, Calvin is ranked number-one in the latest set of Great Lakes
Regional rankings, the first time Calvin has ever landed the top spot in the
region.

Calvin is currently 6-0-1 overall and 1-0-0 in the MIAA. Calvin currently has
an unbeaten streak of eight games dating back to last year and is off to the
fastest start in school history.

Calvin returns to action on Wednesday when it travels to Adrian for a 4:00
p.m. match. On Saturday, Calvin will host Albion in a 1:30 p.m. contest that
will be played in front of a Calvin alumni soccer crowd. Saturday's game
against the Britons will also be aired via RealAudio through the Calvin web
site at: www.Calvin.edu/sports.
