WOMEN'S BASKETBALL

The final NCAA III statistics for women's basketball have been released and
Calvin junior Andrea MacDonald is listed among the nation's leaders in blocked
shots. A native of Allendale and a graduate of Allendale High School, the 6-3
MacDonald swatted away 82 shots in 26 games this year for an average of 3.2
blocked-shots-per-game which ranks her 10th in the final NCAA III statistics in
blocks-per-game average.

MacDonald's single-game high for blocked shots came against Hope on November 30
when she swatted away nine shots which ended up tied for the ninth-best
single-game performance in NCAA III women's basketball during the 2002-2003
season.

MacDonald was one of two West Michigan natives to rank nationally in blocked
shots as Julie Zeef of Grand Valley State finished tied for seventh in the
final NCAA II statistics with an average of 3.0 blocked-shots-per-game.

Calvin finished its 2002-2003 campaign with a 15-11 overall record with
MacDonald serving as one of the tri-captains for the Knights.
