CALVIN SPORTS REPORT FOR TUESDAY, MARCH 8, 2003
WOMEN'S TENNIS
Calvin dipped to 5-4 overall and to 1-1 in the MIAA with a 7-2 loss at
league-leading Kalamazoo Tuesday afternoon. Calvin picked up one point in
singles competition and one point in doubles competition as freshman Kim
Bosscher (Calvin Christian HS) claimed a win at No. 4 singles and then combined
with freshman Kristina Plaisier (Kalamazoo Christian HS) for a win at No. 3
doubles. Bosscher is now 7-2 on the year in singles competition.
Calvin returns to action next Wednesday when it travels to St. Mary's for an
MIAA match.

MEN'S TENNIS
Calvin's home match against Kalamazoo was postponed Tuesday afternoon because
of weather conditions. A makeup date has been set for Thursday at 3:00 p.m.
with Calvin hosting the match.
BASEBALL
Calvin is scheduled to open its conference series at Hope Wednesday afternoon
with a pair of seven-inning games. The doubleheader is scheduled to begin at
2:00 p.m. at the Buys Athletic Complex. If the games are played, the Calvin
sports information department will provide a RealAudio broadcast of the
