    CALVIN SPORTS REPORT FOR SEPT. 11, 2002

    WOMEN'S GOLF

    Calvin dropped a non-conference match with Aquinas Wednesday afternoon but also
    turned in another solid effort as the Knights posted a team score of 398
    strokes, six strokes behind the visiting Saints.

    Calvin was led by freshman Annie Huizenga (Unity Christian) who turned in the
    best overall score of the match as she fired a round of 93, shooting 47 on the
    front nine and 46 on the back. Calvin sophomore Dawn Svenkeson (Scandia, MN)
    had the second best score of the match with a round of 94.

    Calvin's third finisher was freshman Anne Prins (Unity Christian) with a round
    of 104 while freshman Jenni Anderson (Chisago City, MN) was fourth for the
    Knights with a round of 107. Other finishers for the Knights included freshman
    Margaret Tassaro (Carnegia, PA) at 108 and freshman Linnea Vincent (Grand Rapids
    Christian) at 114.

    Aquinas had three golfers fire sub-100 rounds including Ann Berg with a
    team-best score of 95.

    Calvin returns to action next Tuesday when it hosts Muskegon Community College
    at the Thornapple Pointe Golf Club.
