     WOMEN'S SOCCER

Calvin evened its record at 1-1 on Saturday afternoon with a shutout victory
over Beltline rival Cornerstone by a score of 4-0. The Knights dominated the
flow of play and controlled the shot chart, out shooting the Golden Eagles 30 to
    6.

Calvin came out aggressive and scored three goals in the first half. The Knights
received the first goal from senior right-wing Larissa Onderlinde, as she took a
Tricia Dyk pass and hammered it into the back of the net. Calvin tallied its
next two goals off of the foot of Dyk, as she raced around defenders and beat
the goalkeeper to record her second and third goals of the year. The Knights
would add one more in the 66th minute as the Bergsma sisters would connect, with
the elder, Tara, feeding Amanda for the final goal of the game.

Calvin will return to action on Tuesday, September 4 as it will play host to
Wheaton College. The game will begin at 3:30 PM.

into the championship match versus orange pool winner Baldwin-Wallace.

advance to the championship game. Leading the way for Calvin was sophomore

chipping in was senior setter Sara Ahrenholz with 44 assists.

as she tallied 11 kills and eight digs. The Knights also garnered contributions
from Pell, who chipped in with eight kills and 3 blocks and freshman Kara
