TRANSITIONS is a program for new first-year and transfer students who are starting Calvin for the interim or spring semester. As an adult family member, we invite you to attend sessions designed for you during the first afternoon. The remainder of the program is designed for your student.

Your student’s TRANSITIONS program will have two parts if they are coming for Interim. For Interim students, Part I is on January 2, 2018 from 2:00 p.m.–6:30 p.m. Parents are invited to attend Part I. Part II for Interim will be lunch and advising appointments on January 4 and a lunch on January 11 and 18 from 12:15–1:45 p.m. to discuss opportunities to get involved at Calvin.

For spring students, TRANSITIONS is a two-day orientation program starting January 25, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. and goes through January 26. Parents are invited to attend on January 25. This will include meeting with an advisor to confirm your class schedule, learning about opportunities at Calvin, as well as a Grand Rapids outing!
