If you're a new adult-learner, ENCORE is for you.  For Orientation we define an adult learner as one of the following: is over the age of 24, has been out of high school for more than four years, is married, has children or who has served in the military.

Come to campus just before the school year begins for a half-day program that introduces you to the unique learning community of Calvin College.

What to expect

Calvin’s orientation programs have three objectives

  • To introduce you to Calvin's purpose, people and programs
  • To help ensure your smooth transition to college
  • To prepare you academically for your years at Calvin

You will participate in academic advising and placement tests so you can plan your schedule, meet with a Student Life staff member, take a tour of campus, learn about Calvin’s core curriculum, your major and academics.
