The Mentoring Program at Calvin provides essential tools on your path to becoming a mature and increasingly devoted disciple of Jesus Christ. It does this by connecting you to another generation of Jesus’ followers that can provide wisdom and perspective for your journey.
Your Calvin mentor may play different roles in your life. They may provide wise counsel, a listening ear, challenge, accountability or prayer. Whatever format your meetings take, when you acknowledge the presence of the Holy Spirit in these meetings, God will use your relationship in powerful ways.
If you are interested in being paired with a mentor, contact us. Already have an individual who is interested in being your mentor? Let us know so that we can connect you with the training, events and other resources our office provides for mentoring.
Typically, mentors and mentees meet together six times per semester. You can meet for coffee, a meal, or attend an on-campus event (the Mentoring Program provides limited numbers of tickets to Calvin events).
Thanks to a generous donor, you can apply for a mentoring scholarship if you are seeking a mentor and have financial need. This scholarship provides $700 per semester for tuition, room and board or textbooks and is available to you in your sophomore, junior or senior year.
