Calvin University provides eligible employees with paid time off (PTO) to use for personal and vacation days. Time off is scheduled at the mutual convenience of the employee and supervisor.
PTO provide the flexibility to use time off to meet personal needs, while recognizing your individual responsibility to manage it. Employees decide how to use PTO – vacation, illness, school activities, medical/dental appointments, caring for dependents, personal business or emergencies. In addition to PTO, the university will designate holidays each year.
Employees are eligible to receive PTO if they are a regular status employee in a half-time or greater position. Part-time employees receive PTO on a pro-rated basis, based on FTE.
