The Center for Counseling and Wellness (CCW) provides a range of programs, workshops, and groups because these are shown to be the most effective form of treatment for many Calvin student concerns! Looking for evidence? 2019 data shows that of Calvin students participating in group therapy at CCW...

  • 100% reported that they learned to better care for themselves
  • 94% reported that they learned to better cope with difficulty, experience positive emotions, and grow through suffering
  • 91% reported that they learned to better recognize their strengths and resources
  • 85% reported that they learned to connect with others more effectively

We hope you'll take the plunge and join us for one of these highly effective treatment opportunities. Topics addressed in the group therapy setting include anxiety, depression, pornography, gender/sexuality, body image, and more. Participants can learn skills such as meditation, distress tolerance skills, anxiety management, and peer connection.
