HLSI: Help with Search Results

Sorting Records. Even after a search is complete, you may choose to view the results in a particular order. You may choose to sort: by article author, editor, scripture, title, source book, Heidelberg Catachism Lord's Day, or publication date.

Finding Related Items. By viewing the individual record for a citation, you will see that the information in the author or subject field is linked to other citations on the same information (the number of articles is provided in parenthesis). Simply click on this link to complete a search on this information.

Marking Records. You may choose to mark specific records in your search results. Simply click the box to the left of each result in the list of records, or at the top of each detailed record. Once you have marked the records you are interested in, click on the Print Bib button, and a new window will appear with your marked records. From this screen you may choose to print or save your marked records

Printing Results. There are two ways you can print your search results. The first is to simply use your browser's Print button after your search results appear on the screen. The second is to mark the records you are interested in printing, then clicking the "Print Bib" button at the top of the screen. This will open a new browser window (without graphics), and from here you can click on your browser's Print button. You may sort your records in a variety of ways from the "Print Bib" screen.

Saving Results. To save your search results, you must mark the records you are interested in saving, then clicking the "Print Bib" button at the top of the screen. This will open a new browser window (without graphics), and from here you can click on your browser's Print button, OR you can use your browsers "Save As..." function. Alternatively, you can cut and paste your results into a word processor, or with the comma delimted file, into Procite or a spreadsheet program.
